After a race that produced many cautions early, long green flag runs through the middle portion, and multpile cautions within the final half, Brad Keselowski took home the victory in the History 300.

Once again, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. has achieved success at Iowa Speedway.
After sweeping both races last year in the Nationwide Series at the racetrack, and after leading 209 of the 250 laps during Sunday's race, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. cruised to victory for the third consecutive race at the Iowa Speedway.
For Stenhouse, it was simply domination. After starting in the third position, Stenhouse quickly showed his strength. After taking the lead early, it was all the number 6 car for the majority of the 250 lap event.
With very few caution flags, the strength of the Roush Fenway Racing team was amplified. Despite strong showings from Elliott Sadler, Kurt Busch, Justin Allgaier and others during restarts, it was Stenhouse that remained the common denominator all afternoon.
With a fairly long green flag run to close out the event, Stenhouse held a nice cushion over second place, where the drivers of Elliott Sadler, Kurt Busch and Michael McDowell, who was on fresh tires, battled it out for the runner up position, hoping to catch the dominant leader.
They were unable to catch him, however, and with a margin of victory of 1.465 seconds, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. scored his third Nationwide Series victory of the 2012 season.
Elliott Sadler, who appears at this time to be Stenhouse Jr.'s toughest competitor for the championship, finished the day in second position after many laps of battling to hold onto the spot. Michael McDowell, who had a pit road speeding penalty in the mid-portion of the race, worked his way back up to third after receiving fresh tires before the final run to the checkers. Austin Dillon, who appeared strong at times, finished the day in fourth.
Taking the white flag, Busch found himself in the third position, just ahead of McDowell, Busch received a bump going into turn one for the final time from McDowell, which sent the Kyle Busch Motorsports driver into the wall. Busch held on with an incredible save, and finished fifth.
Following the race, Busch described the incident as just a racing deal. McDowell apologized and went to talk to Busch post-race, where McDowell stated that Busch told him nobody did anything wrong.
Making his debut in the Nationwide Series, Darrell Wallace Jr. had a solid 250 laps, taking home a 9th place finish in his Joe Gibbs Racing ride.
There were four cautions for 27 laps and nine lead changes among six drivers.
