Ricky Stenhouse Jr. makes it three in a row at Iowa Speedway

Once again, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. has achieved success at Iowa Speedway.

After sweeping both races last year in the Nationwide Series at the racetrack, and after leading 209 of the 250 laps during Sunday's race, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. cruised to victory for the third consecutive race at the Iowa Speedway.

For Stenhouse, it was simply domination. After starting in the third position, Stenhouse quickly showed his strength. After taking the lead early, it was all the number 6 car for the majority of the 250 lap event.

With very few caution flags, the strength of the Roush Fenway Racing team was amplified. Despite strong showings from Elliott Sadler, Kurt Busch, Justin Allgaier and others during restarts, it was Stenhouse that remained the common denominator all afternoon.

With a fairly long green flag run to close out the event, Stenhouse held a nice cushion over second place, where the drivers of Elliott Sadler, Kurt Busch and Michael McDowell, who was on fresh tires, battled it out for the runner up position, hoping to catch the dominant leader.

They were unable to catch him, however, and with a margin of victory of 1.465 seconds, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. scored his third Nationwide Series victory of the 2012 season.

Elliott Sadler, who appears at this time to be Stenhouse Jr.'s toughest competitor for the championship, finished the day in second position after many laps of battling to hold onto the spot. Michael McDowell, who had a pit road speeding penalty in the mid-portion of the race, worked his way back up to third after receiving fresh tires before the final run to the checkers. Austin Dillon, who appeared strong at times, finished the day in fourth.

Taking the white flag, Busch found himself in the third position, just ahead of McDowell, Busch received a bump going into turn one for the final time from McDowell, which sent the Kyle Busch Motorsports driver into the wall. Busch held on with an incredible save, and finished fifth.

Following the race, Busch described the incident as just a racing deal. McDowell apologized and went to talk to Busch post-race, where McDowell stated that Busch told him nobody did anything wrong.

Making his debut in the Nationwide Series, Darrell Wallace Jr. had a solid 250 laps, taking home a 9th place finish in his Joe Gibbs Racing ride.

There were four cautions for 27 laps and nine lead changes among six drivers.

The following are the unofficial results of the Pioneer Hi-Bred 250:

After winning the first segment of the Sprint All-Star Race and after riding around in the back of the pack until the new All-Star Race rules allowed him to take the lead coming to the final mandatory pit stop, Jimmie Johnson cruised to victory in the final 10 lap segment to win the 2012 Sprint All-Star Race, taking $1 million.

Johnson, who scored the 200th Sprint Cup Series win for Hendrick Motorsports last weekend, and who's pit crew won the Pit Crew Challenge during the week, beat Kyle Busch and a handful of others in the first segment of the race, giving the team an advantage in strategy as the concluding segment approached. With Johnson staying out of trouble, he was able to lead the field to the green flag for one final time and hold off Brad Keselowski to take home the trophy and the big money.

Jimmie Johnson won the first segment, Matt Kenseth won the second, Brad Keselowski won the third and Dale Earnhardt Jr. won the fourth segment. It was Johnson, however, who took the big prize in the fifth and final segment.

After leading all 40 laps of the two, 20 lap segment race, Dale Earnhardt Jr. took the victory in the Sprint Showdown, securing a position in the 2012 Sprint All-Star race.

Earnhardt held a large lead over a hard charging AJ Allmendinger, who was scheduled to lead the field to the green flag at the start of the race, but had a flat tire in the pace laps and was forced to pit. Allmendinger came from the back of the pack to finish second, securing him a position in the All-Star race.

Earnhardt, who was expected to be the fan vote winner, locked himself in through taking the win, not the fan vote, meaning the door was left wide open for another driver. That driver is Bobby Labonte, who finished 12th in the Showdown. Labonte will start last in the Sprint All-Star event through winning the fan vote.

In review Earnhardt, Allmendinger and Labonte are the only drivers from the Showdown race that will race in the All-Star event.

The following are the unofficial results of the Sprint Showdown:

After 134 laps around the Charlotte Motor Speedway, it was Justin Lofton, driving the number 6 CollegeComplete.com Chevrolet, who took the victory in the 10th annual Camping World Truck Series North Carolina Education Lottery 200.

After the race, which showed the strength of both Ty Dillon and Brad Keselowski during the early laps, progressed, a caution under a cycle of green flag pit stops in the middle of the event scrambled the lineup, altering how the race unfolded for the remainder of the way. With the laps closing down, it was Justin Lofton who found himself in the position to win the race.

Lofton, who led the most laps of the race (44), out ran Sprint Cup Series star Brad Keselowski through the final restarts of the race, after Keselowski showed his strength by passing the young driver during a green flag run prior to the caution flags under 20 laps to go.

Lofton's win marks his first in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, while also giving him the points lead by one point over Timothy Peters.

Following the event, Brad Keselowski and Ron Hornaday Jr. shared some intense words, after Keselowski was displeased with contact he received from Hornaday on a late restart. Keselowski wanted more respect from Hornaday, while Hornaday coined it as a racing deal.

Brad Keselowski finished the night in the second position, with Todd Bodine in third. Jason Leffler finished in fourth and Ron Hornaday Jr. rounds out the top five finishers.

There were six lead changes among seven drivers and six cautions for 29 laps.
